Founded in the 1960s, Coltri Compressors was founded to meet the needs of the diving industry, becoming a benchmark in the production of high-pressure compressors for breathing air. For more than 60 years, we have been designing and manufacturing each compressor entirely in Italy, managing all processes in-house: from concept to production to final assembly.
Our vocation fortechnological innovation has enabled us to expand our product range far beyond diving. Today Coltri Compressors has more than 150 highly qualified employees, engaged every day in the development, production and optimization of our high-pressure compressors. Exports account for about 70 percent of our production, confirming the strong international vocation of Coltri Compressors. Each year we export more than 6,000 compressors for breathing air and technical gases worldwide, helping to consolidate our brand’s presence in strategic and expanding markets.

The story of Coltri Compressors
In more than 60 years of business, Coltri Compressors has developed a unique wealth of technical expertise and experience, enabling it to respond efficiently and accurately to the needs of a constantly evolving market. Our ability to design and manufacture high-performance, flexible, customizable and reliable machining centers is the result of a journey that began with passion and vision.
It all originated on the shores of Lake Garda, where Carlo Coltri, together with his father Giuseppe, built the first high-pressure compressor for breathable air: it was used to recharge the cylinders used during scuba diving. From that handcrafted intuition was born a brand that today is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its products.
Each compressor Coltri is the result of a constantly evolving technological process, supported by constant investment in Research & Development, with the aim of ensuring high performance, safety and reliability, always in the best Made in Italy tradition.

It was on the shores of Lake Garda that Carlo Coltri and his father Giuseppe shaped the first high-pressure compressor for breathing air, born out of the concrete need to recharge the tanks for their scuba diving. From that moment, the story of a brand destined to grow began.
A milestone year: the birth of Aerotecnica Coltri S.r.l.
A decisive year marks the beginning of our history. Aerotecnica Coltri S.r.l. is born, the company destined to become a benchmark in the production of high-pressure compressors for breathing air and technical gases.
From this moment on, the passion and ingenuity that had led to the creation of the first compressor were transformed into a structured industrial project, guided by a clear vision: to offer reliable, safe and technologically advanced solutions in the name of Made in Italy quality.
The first MCH 16 pumping unit is born
In response to a growing demand for superior performance, the Coltri product range is being expanded with the introduction of more powerful machines. It is in this context that the first MCH 16 pumping unit is developed, capable of providing a flow rate of 265 liters per minute.
A significant development that marks a step forward in the production capacity and versatility of use of our high-pressure compressors, confirming Coltri ‘s ongoing commitment to the search for increasingly high-performance solutions.
The debut of the MCH 36 pumping unit: top power and performance
More power, faster charging speed and high performance: with this in mind comes the first MCH 36 pumping unit, designed to meet the needs of the most demanding professionals.
With a flow rate of 650 liters per minute, the MCH 36 represents a new milestone in production Coltri, taking compression capacity to even higher levels and confirming the company’s vocation to constantly push the boundaries of technology applied to compressed air.
The growth continues: Aerotecnica Coltri S.p.A. is born.
The market is evolving rapidly, and with it the demand for compressors is growing Coltri globally. In response to this expansion, the company doubles the area of its production site, investing in infrastructure, technology and operational capacity.
It was at this time of strong growth that Aerotecnica Coltri S.r.l. was transformed into Aerotecnica Coltri S.p.A., marking a new chapter in the company’s history. A transition that reflects the evolution from an artisanal reality to a structured industrial group, capable of facing the challenges of international markets with solidity, vision and innovative spirit.
2015: innovation at the heart of production – the new MCH 16
In 2015, thanks to the increasingly advanced technologies at our production site, the MCH 16 pumping unit underwent a major technical overhaul. The intervention aims to further improve its efficiency, reliability and performance, confirming Coltri ‘s constant focus ontechnological evolution andoptimization of its flagship products.
New spaces, new technologies, same vision: quality as the standard
Coltri Compressors continues its path of growth and innovation with the construction of a new workshop equipped with the latest production technologies. The company’s floor space is further expanded with a warehouse dedicated to logistics and a modern training room designed to host technical training courses aimed at customers, dealers and partners.
