Compatibility with pump units manufactured before and after 2016
The discharge valve of the 2nd stage for MCH 16 pumping units is made with two O-ring housing grooves, a solution designed to ensure compatibility with pumping units manufactured before and after 2016.
Because of this configuration, the component can be used as a universal replacement for both versions of the pumping unit.
During installation, it is important to place theO-ring in the correct groove, depending on the year of manufacture of the pumping unit:
- Pump units manufactured before 2016: use the throat dedicated to the previous configuration
- Pump units manufactured after 2016: use the throat provided for the upgraded configuration
Proper placement of the O-ring ensures sealing, proper operation of the drain valve, and safety during maintenance.
